Digital Goa, August 8 – The Goa government has amended the Goa Public Gambling Act, introducing stringent penalties for casinos violating licence conditions. As per the new notification issued on August 6, 2025, violators will face fines of ₹25 lakh for the first offence, ₹50 lakh for the second, and ₹75 lakh for the third or subsequent violations. The licence may also be cancelled and the security deposit forfeited, states the notification issued in this regard.
