Digital Goa, August 24 – Several issues, mainly linked to upcoming projects in villages, were discussed at gram sabhas held across Goa on Sunday.
In Varca, the gram sabha passed a resolution to halt multi-dwelling projects and commercial extensions until the village’s carrying capacity is assessed.
At Raia, ruckus was witnessed over a construction project proposed in the Arlem ward.
In Navelim, the issue of fake voters was raised, with the panchayat body assuring that the authenticity of voters will be verified and a report sent to the election authorities.
At Assolda, several issues raised by villagers were not taken up for discussion citing late submission, drawing sharp criticism from locals.
