Digital Goa, October 3 – The Congress today termed the much-touted Mhaje Ghar scheme, set to be launched tomorrow, as a political gimmick aimed at fooling the public ahead of the Assembly elections. Speaking to the media, Congress leaders questioned the timing of the scheme—just one and a half years before the elections. They pointed out that the BJP government has a history of announcing similar schemes before every election to mislead the people. The leaders also raised doubts about the legality of the scheme, stating that government land cannot be handed over to anyone without an auction.
