Digital Goa, Oct 7 – The car stolen by the burglars from Mapusa Doctor’s house was found abandoned under the Atal Setu bridge in Panaji. Further details have emerged about the heist, which was carried out by a gang of six to seven masked burglars between 3 am and 5 am this morning. Armed with knives and iron rods, they reportedly entered the house by bending the window grills. They tied up the doctor couple, their teenage daughter, and elderly mother using bedsheets, and ransacked the house. They then made away with gold and cash worth over ₹50 lakh. The robbers, who were clad in burkhas and conversed in Hindi, are said to have drunk the tea prepared by the elderly woman and eaten fruits and snacks from the refrigerator before escaping in the family’s car.
