Digital Goa, Oct 8 – IT Department’s Goa unit conducted early morning raids on a steel manufacturing company at Savordem and on a house at Colva, following suspicions of tax evasion. According to sources, the operation began at the Colva residence, where officials seized a large number of documents, accounting records, and electronic devices. Following this the department officials carried out a search at the factory. In addition, simultaneous raids are also being conducted at locations linked the company in several other states. The IT Department has however, not yet issued any statement in this regards.
