Digital Goa, Nov 27 – The Margao Municipal Council(MMC) has issued a public notice directing Resident Welfare Associations, housing societies, and building managements to create designated feeding zones for community dogs within their premises, in line with the Supreme Court’s August 22, 2025 order. The notice states that feeding areas must be mutually agreed upon and located away from children’s play zones, entry points and frequently used passages. Dog feeders are required to register with the council and ensure cleanliness at feeding spots, while feeding dogs on public streets has been strictly prohibited, states the public notice issued by MMC.
