Mala Lake pollution case: Waste outlets of seven Panaji houses sealed, High Court told

Digital Goa, May 13 – High Court at Goa was informed by CCP today that waste outlets of seven houses allegedly discharging into Mala Lake have been sealed in compliance with the orders in the ongoing suo motu PIL over the dead fish incident. During the hearing, the CCP informed the court that the affected house owners will have to now apply for sewage connections. The court was also told that a damaged sewage line identified during inspection is being repaired to prevent further leakage. The Court directed CCP to file a formal report and communicate the order to the house owners. The matter has been posted for further hearing on June 9.
