Digital Goa, June 28 – 37-year-old Anand Patil from Socorro, Porvorim, who was brutally assaulted by a group near a garden close to the Socorro Panchayat office on June 18, succumbed to his injuries after battling for life at Goa Medical College (GMC). Hours before his death, Anand’s mother, Shashikala Patil, along with residents of Porvorim, had appealed to the government to ensure justice as he remained in critical condition at the hospital.Three of the accused involved in the assault were arrested earlier while police have now managed to nab the fourth accused.
