Goa BJP asks Panchayats and Municipalities to take resolutions seeking withdrawal of DPR by Center

    Digital Goa, Jan 3 – State BJP has resolved to support all the decisions taken by the state government as regards Mhadei issue, informed BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade. Panchayats and Municipalities where ruling panels are affiliated to BJP have been told to pass resolutions urging the Center to withdraw the approval to the DPR submitted by Karnataka, till Supreme Court gives its order in the matter. A resolution to this effect has also been taken by the BJP core committee and the same is to be sent to PM, Union HM and Union Jal Shakti Ministry. State BJP has also told its members to write to PM Modi in this regards. The party will also initiate a signature campaign seeking withdrawal of DPR by the center, informed Tanavade. State BJP had held a meeting of all its office-bearers, MLAs and Ministers yesterday over the Mhadei diversion issue. State govt had announced yesterday that they will follow up the matter in the Supreme Court, seek withdrawal of approval to Karnataka’s DPR by Central Water Commission(CWC) and take an all-party delegation to Delhi to put forth Goa’s stand before the center.
