Digital Goa, May 26- International Yoga Day on June 21 will be marked by yoga sessions at over 30,000 locations across Goa from 7 am to 7:45 am, officials announced. As June 21 falls on a Saturday, government servants not attending office due to the weekly holiday are expected to participate in yoga functions at nearby common venues such as temples or schools. They are required to take a photograph of their participation and submit it to their respective heads of departments. Additionally, the government has asked private organisations to contact the AYUSH Department if they wish to arrange a yoga instructor for conducting sessions to promote “Yoga for work efficiency.”
Meanwhile, govt departments have been directed to conduct online training programs for yoga. Every school has also been asked to dedicate half an hour for the practice and promotion of yoga once the academic year starts from first week of June.
