Digital Goa, July 15 – Government will take the right decision on the proposed bill to regularise illegal houses built on Communidade land, said Minister Mauvin Godinho today. Speaking to media, he said this is not a new move and that everything about it is already in the public domain. The court itself has left a window of opportunity to legalise these houses by following due process of law and proper procedures, he noted. Pointing out that there are large number of illegal constructions in Goa, he asked, “Can you demolish all houses and put people on the road? Can that ever happen?”. He added that Communidades should see reason and understand the government’s approach to the issue.
