Digital Goa, June 30 – A huge boulder rolled onto a house at Voddant, Vasco, following a landslide on Monday, damaging the rear portion of the residential house belonging to Pramodini Naik. The impact collapsed the wall of a back room, but no injuries were reported. Personnel from the Vasco Fire and Emergency Services were called to the spot to assist. Locals said a similar incident had occurred in the area last year and alleged that repeated requests to the government over the past few years for the construction of a retaining wall had gone unheeded. They have renewed their demand for immediate preventive measures.
