Dec 17 – Congress leader Sunil Kavthankar appeared before Old Goa police today for investigation in matter related to viral video purportedly of fugitive Suleiman Khan. He was quizzed for around 2 hours. He was accompanied by some Congress and AAP leaders including Valmiki Naik. After coming out of the police station, Kavthankar said he will extend all possible co-operation to the police in the matter. He also alleged that he was summoned despite being ready to co-operate in all manners as govt wants to target the opposition. He informed that he intimated the DGP over call as soon as he received the video on Sunday and also submitted the pen drive carrying the video to the police yesterday. Kavthankar had released the video to the media on Sunday night wherein Suleiman had claimed that that police teams dropped him to Hubli. He had also named several police personnel and Dy Speaker in the video.
