Digital Goa, July 13 – Bicholim Police have cracked a cyber fraud case and arrested a habitual offender from Jamtara, Jharkhand. A woman from Sanquelim was duped of ₹44,340 by a fraudster posing as a Tata Sky official. The accused allegedly contacted the victim using two mobile numbers and convinced her to share her banking credentials under the pretext of recharging a Tata Sky pack. He then fraudulently transferred the amount from her bank account. The accused, Pradeip Kumar Mandal (24), a resident of Jamtara, Jharkhand, is allegedly involved in over 50 similar cyber frauds across India.
