Digital Goa, Sept 26 – Goa Assembly will pass the Women Reservation Bill during it’s scheduled session as no directions have come from the center as of now to get it passed urgently, informed CM Pramod Sawant today. Both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha have passed the bill, however it is mandatory that at least 50% of the State Legislative Assemblies have to ratify the bill for it to hold good. Sawant opined that urgency is not there as delimitation and other procedures also have to be completed before implementation of the bill. “When we have our own sessions we will pass the bill and send it,” he said. He however added that if the Center asks the state to take a special session and get it passed, the state will do so.
