Aug 2 – All contractors lifting garbage will be made to henceforth mandatorily register with Goa State Waste Management Department, informed CM Pramod Sawant. He was reacting to the issue raised by Cortalim MLA Anton Vas about illegal dumping of garbage by contractors at random locations in villages. CM also assured the house of streamlining the process of garbage collection and management.
