Nepal national held with 3.5 kg ganja at Thivim railway station

Digital Goa, Sept 17 – A 25-year-old Nepal national, Roshan Japrel, was arrested at the Thivim railway station parking lot with 3.5 kg ganja worth ₹3.5 lakh. A special team from Colvale Police Station intercepted the accused, who had arrived from Mumbai by Mandovi Express, and seized the narcotic drug allegedly meant for sale in Goa. Police revealed that Japrel had earlier been arrested in 2024 in a similar NDPS case. North Goa Police added that additional staff have been deployed at railway stations over the last two months to monitor migrants arriving from various parts of the country.
