Digital Goa, July 10 – A 32-year-old bike thief from Kolhapur was arrested by Panaji police for stealing 5 bikes from Panaji. The accused identified as Saddam Jamadar had taken the bikes on rent. Four of the stolen bikes have been recovered from him. He was out on bail in a similar case involving 6 rent-a-bikes from Calangute. As per information provided by police, Saddam used forged documents such as driving licence, Aadhar card etc to procure bikes on rent in Goa. Instead of returning the bikes back, he took them to Kolhapur and sold them through buying-selling platform Olx. As he used forged documents, he could not be traced by police.
